What is Pluto TV? You Asked, We Answer

In this post, we’re answering some common questions about Pluto TV.

What is Pluto TV?

Pluto TV is a free streaming TV service with over 100 channels. With the Pluto app, you’ll get news, sports, movies, TV shows, viral videos, cartoons, and more.

While there is some on-demand content available, including a good selection of movies, the focus is on live TV.

What Happened with Viacom?

Viacom purchased Pluto in March. Since then, we learned that Pluto TV has 15 million users and that the company has been working on plans to continue growing the streaming service through 2020.

Those plans started when Viacom announced plans to add more device support, along with launching Pluto TV internationally. They also added new channels, including Viacom channels, which are listed later in this post.

Pluto TV is a free, ad-supported service.

Since Viacom purchased Pluto in March, the channel lineup has changed significantly.

Can I Record Content?

No. Pluto TV does not have a Cloud DVR option.
