Many had speculated that we would see a new Fire Stick with the recent number of sales, but stock of the Fire Stick is still available on Amazon.com and many major box stores.
There have been hints as pointed out by AFTVnews. Amazon leaked some specs of what looks like a powerful fire device. Other hints have shown up deep in recent software updates to the Fire TV. While it’s all circumstantial it does look like we will see a Fire TV box sometime this week.
What may be the most shocking part of the new box is the fact that Amazon successfully sold out their old device before the new one was released. Typically when a new box is on its way the manufacture will start to discount older boxes in hopes of unloading inventory.
There could still be a new Fire Stick this year but because the Fire TV box is older it is not surprising that Amazon would update the box first.
