America’s Funniest Home Videos is available to stream for free on YouTube. Fans of camels eating people’s hair and brides falling off Lippezanners can stream content 24/7.

Fans can check out individual videos of past contestants and curated clip videos such as the Best of AVF Winner Edition, the funniest outdoor fails compilations, and Try Not To Laugh challenges on American’s Funniest Home Videos YouTube Channel.

This is an excellent example of how a media company can take advantage of YouTube to cast a wide net to expand its audience. Featuring content on this platform is a way to meet fans where they’re at instead of trying to convince them to sign up for a streaming platform specifically for a single show. Comparitech estimates that 5 billion YouTube videos are watched every day, and the app is installed on more than 10 billion Android devices. More than 81% of U.S. adults use YouTube.

The platform also hosts free channels through YouTube TV, which offers subscribers more value for their subscription with a slew of different channels and networks in one app.

Last May, ABC renewed America’s Funniest Home Videos for its 34th season, which debuted on October 1. The series initially launched in 1990 with host Bob Saget and became the longest-running primetime entertainment show in the history of ABC. It’s now hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro, who took over the role in 2015 after Tom Bergeron left the show after 15 seasons.

The AVF team evaluates thousands of user-submitted home videos that showcase America’s most hilarious spontaneous comedy. Winners are selected by an in-studio audience and get $10,000. Winners from each episode move on to the next competition round, where they can win $100,000 and gain entry to the grand prize vacation package competition at the end of the season.

America’s Funniest Home Videos is available to stream on Hulu, Fubo, Vudu, ABC, Disney+, Sling TV, Google Play Movies, YouTube TV, and Prime Video. Audiences can also download the AFV app through Google Play or the Apple App Store to watch on mobile devices.
