Vudu Is Becoming ‘Fandango at Home’. What You Need to Know

Fandango at Home

Fandango on Thursday said it’s combining its streaming services, FandangoNow and Vudu, under the new moniker, Fandango at Home.

The movie-ticketing company said the decision is meant to better align its products and “reinforce” Fandango as a one-stop-shop for home and theater entertainment.

Fandango’s news underscores a growing number of companies consolidating their offerings amid a cluttered market and subscription-fatigued customer base.

FandangoNow users will need to move their accounts to Vudu, but Vudu users won’t need to take any action unless they want to link their existing Fandango account. Vudu and FandangoNow subscribers can also use the same username and password to log in on the rebranded service.

Once FandangoNow users move their accounts to Vudu and log in again, they’ll be able to access their libraries and promo codes.

Vudu also said users won’t lose any content from their libraries, which isn’t always a guarantee when services merge. For example, when anime streamers Funimation and Crunchyroll combined, digital purchases made by Funimation users didn’t make the transition.

“We will still have the same great films, shows, deals, and bundles, plus your library will stay right where it’s always been,” Vudu wrote in a post on X.

Under Fandango at Home, users can take advantage of new Vudu gift cards, reward loyalty programs, and partner programs coming soon.

“We’re still focused on your entertainment, and that will never change,” Fandango said on its website.
