Vooks Enters Partnership to Stream Animated Storybooks on HappyKids

Storybook streaming platform Vooks and Future Today have entered a partnership to stream animated storybooks on the HappyKids channel, one of the top 10 free Kids channels on Roku and Fire TV. Vooks content will join more than 55,000 family-friendly movies already in the HappyKids library including TV shows and educational videos.

“The pandemic has increased children’s screen time by 500%, driving the demand for new content. Over the past few months, the Vooks team has worked tirelessly to expand our library with new animated titles and make quality content accessible to children worldwide,” said Ron Garfield, Chief Operations Officer of Vooks. “Future Today is the leading destination for family-friendly content, making it the ideal partner to share our growing collection and fulfill our mission to promote literacy, imagination and fun through entertainment.”

Vooks is designed to promote cognitive stimulation and make the most of children’s intellectual resources by delivering educational content. Vooks also has a feature that highlights words on the screen to help improve children’s reading and phonetics skills. With many children out of school due to the pandemic, Vooks aims to create useful and educational entertainment to supplement at-home learning.

Through the partnership, Vooks titles, including “Allegro,” “Courageous People Who Changed the World” and “Cinderella,” will be available on the company’s flagship kids and family-themed channel, HappyKids.

Vooks also announced today that an illustrated interactive, animated storybook version of Kitty O’Meara’s  ‘And the People Stayed Home’ is now available on the Vooks platform, read by actor Kate Winslet. Vooks subscribers can now access the interactive version of “And the People Stayed Home” at Vooks.com; through the Vooks app for iOS and Android; and on Roku, Amazon Fire and Google Chromecast devices.
