Vidgo’s Android App is Now Live

Earlier this month we learned that Vidgo plans to launch several Spanish-language TV packages. Now Vidgo has officially launched their Android app on the Google Play Store. This likely means Vidgo is getting closer to a public launch of their live TV streaming service as the app maybe live but you still can not signup for the service.

Vidgo was first announced at CES 2016 and has since said they are coming. Now they have posted pricing for three packages: a $19.99 Spanish package with 20 channels, a $29.99 Spanish package with 30+ channels, and a $39.99 English-language package.

Here is how the service is described on the Google Play app store:

Vidgo is a prepaid over-the-top television streaming service with the most popular live Sports, Entertainment, Family, and Latino programming at an affordable price. Each package includes three simultaneous device streams and is available at home or on the go. With no fees for equipment, no credit checks, and no contracts, everyone qualifies for Vidgo’s service.

We don’t know a lot about Vidgo’s $39.99 package that is aimed at taking on services like DIRECTV NOW and Hulu. What we do know is it will be focused on English-speaking languages with the goal of taking on a growing list of live TV streaming services.
