Vidgo Promises Full Refund and Vows Return Even as the Service Has Been Down For Nearly a Month

Vidgo, a live TV streaming service offering ESPN, FS1, and more, has been down for almost a month now, raising questions about whether it will shut down completely. Cord Cutters News confirmed with Vidgo that the outage is caused by a vendor dispute but that they plan to restore the service and continue offering its live TV service.

Vidgo on Monday sent an update about the outage to its customers, promising a full refund in addition to its $10 monthly credit for the next six months. Here’s the note:

We apologize for the prolonged nature of this outage. Once service is fully restored, in addition to the $10 monthly credit for the next 6 months, we will credit your account for the total number of days the service has been impacted.

For now, that is all we know about the outage. Vidgo costs $69.99 per month, and you can stream over 110+ live channels, on-demand, and record the event with DVR. Current subscribers will get $10 off a month for the next six months bringing the cost of the service down to $59.99.

Vidgo has repeatedly said that it does not plan to shut down despite a prolonged outage. This comes as Vidgo said it is still working with the vendor to restore service.

We will update the story once the service is back online. If you’re looking to switch, check out our breakdown of other live TV streaming services.
