Vidgo Plans to Launch Its U.S. Live TV Streaming Service This Summer

Cheerful couple cuddling and sitting on the couch watching tv at home in the living roomYesterday at the Pay-TV show, Vidgo announced plans to launch an English U.S.-based live TV streaming service this summer. In 2018, Vidgo launched several international packages. Now the long-awaited English U.S. streaming service is finally getting close to a launch date.

Vidgo also gave us a look at their current international packages. According to Vidgo, sports is 70% of what its customers watch right now. It was also announced that the data they get helps them make decisions on what content they want to renew.

Vidgo’s CEO announced that there are 50 million Americans who are “under banked.” These are Americans who struggle to get TV due in part to no or bad credit. That is the market Vidgo wants to reach by offering their new live TV streaming service with a pre-paid TV model similar to prepaid phone plans.

No date has been set for the English live TV streaming service from Vidgo, but Vidgo recently started a public beta test. Hopefully, soon we will have one more live TV streaming option.
