Vidgo Plans to Add More Local Channels in The Next 60 Days

Recently, Vidgo shared more details about their partnership with Harmonic. Vidgo is powered by Harmonic’s VOS®360 Live Streaming Platform, simplifying the process of bringing content from source to screen.

“A large, diverse content catalog is critically important for an OTT streaming service to be successful, and Vidgo has set a high bar in this regard. Our new streaming service gives subscribers a simple, convenient way to watch live TV anytime, on any device, ensuring that sports fans never miss important matches, fights and games on some of the most popular channels available,” said Shane Cannon, CEO at Vidgo.

Harmonic will also help Vidgo expand by allowing them to roll out local channels for ABC and FOX affiliates in more markets, beyond owned and operated markets. At launch, these local channels were only available in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Houston, Philadelphia, Raleigh/Durham, and Fresno.

Cannon says that Vidgo will be rolling out these channels in the additional markets “aggressively” over the next 60 days with the goal of reaching all 200 designated market areas as quickly as possible.

Vidgo recently launched their streaming service with 60+ channels for $39.99/month after a 7 day free trial.
