Starting with the upcoming playoffs and for seasons to come, live NFL action directly on your mobile device – regardless of carrier – will give millions of fans additional ways to follow their favorite sport.”
Now other streaming services will be able to strike deals with the NFL for mobile streaming. Now, this does not mean DIRECTV NOW or PlayStation Vue that will happen overnight. It is likely a new contract will be needed to include rights for mobile streaming. Also, this new deal won’t start until the 2018 NFL season.
