Verizon Hits 1.45 Gbps With 4G LTE

Women Using LaptopWant some crazy fast internet? This week Verizon with the help from Nokia and Qualcomm announced that they have hit 1.45 Gbps down with their 4G LTE network.

According to Verizon VP of Technology Planning and Development, Bill Stone this test happened in New York City. This is all part of Verizon’s efforts to lay the foundation for their 5G network to come. Network speeds of 1.45 Gbps down will help make the transition to 5G easier.

Next week Verizon is rolling out their 5G network in Houston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, and Sacramento.

“’First On 5G’ Members get early access to Verizon 5G Home and are first in line for new services, including 5G mobility,” said Tami Erwin, Verizon’s wireless operations leader. “You want an opportunity to cut the cord with your cable company? Now you can cut the cord and go cable free, while getting fast, reliable home internet service over the hottest new technology.”
