Verizon Expands LTE Home Internet to Rural Areas

After launching this summer, Verizon announced today that its LTE Home Internet service is now expanding to include 189 markets spanning 48 states.

The service includes unlimited data with download speeds of 25 Mbps with peak download speeds of 50 Mbps. The router can be self-installed, allowing customers to get set up on their own time.

“This summer, we introduced LTE Home Internet in select pilot markets, and the response from customers was incredible,” said Frank Boulben, Senior Vice President of Consumer Marketing and Products at Verizon. “It’s clear the need for connectivity has never been greater during these challenging times, that’s why today, we’re expanding LTE Home Internet to even more customers in rural areas of America who may not have access to broadband Internet.”

Verizon LTE Home Internet costs $40 per month for Verizon wireless customers and $60 per month for non-Verizon wireless customers.
