Verizon Announces a New Pick Your Perks System to Replace The Disney+ Bundle Deal

On May 15th, Verizon officially announced its new unlimited plan which allows customers to customize their service options. With myPlan, you can select from different features and subscription options to create a personalized plan that best fits your needs.

Customers can add on any features they want for $10 each per month, such as Apple Music, Apple One, Walmart+, 100 GB mobile hotspot, Smartwatch Data and Safety, monthly credits to +play, TravelPass Days, and 2 TB of Cloud storage. Previously, Verizon has offered Disney+, but now includes the whole Disney bundle along with ESPN, and Hulu.

Verizon allows customers to continue altering the perks they select through the My Verizon App, so your plan can evolve as your needs change. This is quite a deal for those who use these features outside of Verizon, as several options have subscriptions priced significantly more than $10 per month.

Why the change? According to Frank Boulben, Verizon’s chief revenue officer, “Customers don’t like boated bundles, they want to pay for only what they want to use.” Verizon has spent years researching what its customer base wants and what they’re willing to spend for it. And thus, myPlan was created.

New customers can sign up for either the basic Welcome Unlimited or the Unlimited Plus plan. Welcome Unlimited is less expensive than its Get More option and allows you to add what you will actually use to your service. It doesn’t come with the same Plus level data, storage, and all the rest, though with plans starting at $65 for one line, it is a cheaper option than the Unlimited Plus plan. Additional lines are priced at $55 each for two lines, $40 each for three lines, $30 per line for four lines, and only $27 each for five or more lines.

The Unlimited Plus plan connects customers to Verizon’s mmWave 5G network along with unlimited data, a 30 GB mobile hotspot, and a 50 percent discount on data plans covering connected devices, such as smartwatches and tablets. This plan starts at $80 for one line. Adding additional lines gets cheaper per line, starting at $70 per line for two, $55 each for three lines, $45 each for four lines, and five lines or more lines will cost $42 each.

These plans will be available starting May 18th. The above-mentioned pricing tiers are only available to new customers who set up paperless, autopay, otherwise the line prices go up by an additional (you guessed it!) $10.
