Verizon’s 5G Internet is Coming to Dallas & Omaha

group looking at phonesThis week Verizon announced that they are expanding 5G internet to Dallas and Omaha. This comes as Verizon announced back in September that they would be expanding 5G to New Your City, Boise Idaho, and Panama City. In total Verizon now has 15 5G markets with 5G home internet in a handful of markets like Chicago and Houston.

“Customers in Dallas and Omaha become the latest to experience the super-fast download speeds delivered by our 5G Ultra Wideband service,” said Kyle Malady, Verizon’s chief technology officer. “We’re focused on building 5G right in order to enable unique experiences for our customers.”

According to Verizon 5G in Dallas will be concentrated in parts of the following areas: Knox/Henderson, Downtown Dallas, Uptown, Medical Center Area, Deep Ellum; and around such landmarks as Parkland Memorial Hospital, Children’s Medical Center, Jade Waters Pool, Dallas Comedy House, The Curtain Club, Dallas Theological Seminary and Turtle Creek Park.

In Omaha, you will find 5G in parts of Downtown Omaha around Old Market, Omaha Children’s Museum, The Orpheum Theatre, The Durham Museum, Heartland of America Park, Central High School, and Creighton University.

Verizon has announced that it will have 5G internet in 30 markets by the end of 2019. Sadly we do not know what markets Verzion plans to add 5G to this year.
