TURVI TV: A New Sling TV Like Service is Coming with the Promise of À La Carte TV

TurviRecently Turvi TV, a live streaming TV service, just started to pop up here and there on social media with “independent marketing representatives” promoting it in many online groups; however, little is known about Turvi TV at this time. So Cord Cutters News started to dig around for more details.

So let’s take a look at what they promise.

Prices start at $25 or a full premium package for no more than $75. I was told they could not tell us what channels would be included in the service for these prices. They have promised access on smart TVs, Fire TV, and Roku “like devices.”

Turvi TV’s site FAQ says, Turvi TV will offer five main packages with a variety of sports, movies, news, and lifestyle channels. “We also offer a build your own package option (premium channels not included) that allows you to pick 10 of your favorite channels for your plan.”

The FAQ also states, “At this time Turvi does not offer a FREE trial.”

Local Channels are expected in the following markets:

                   1. NYC
                   2. Los Angeles
                   3. Chicago
                   4. Washington DC / Baltimore
                   5. Miami / Ft. Lauderdale / West Palm
                   6. Dallas / Fort Worth
                   7. San Francisco / San Jose / Oakland
                   8. Houston
                   9. Atlanta
                 10. Philadelphia
                 11. Cleveland
                 12. Raleigh / Durham

Beyond this we do not know much. When talking with an “Independent Marketing Representative,” I was told that Turvi TV is an “exclusive product of 5linx,” which was described as a “network marketing company” that only deals through “independent marketing representatives.”

The 5LINX website states, “5LINX has helped customers live better lives since 2001 by offering life-enhancing products and services. We were recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest growing private companies in the United States nine straight years. Direct Selling News—the direct sales industry’s premier publication—named 5LINX to its Global 100 list of largest direct sales companies in the world in 2012, 2013, and 2014.”

I asked about getting a login for press review, which is a fairly standard practice, and was told “because we are a network marketing company, 5linx doesn’t typically do press for a new product launch for the company” by the “independent marketing representative.”

That is everything we know about Turvi TV. No date is known for the release but from talking with different reps it sounds as if Turvi TV will come out some time in the fall of 2016.

We did contact 5linx but no direct representative from 5linx has replied to our emails only their “independent marketing representatives”.
