Happy young woman watching television on sofaLove movies? Love classic movies? We have a service for you…

Turner Classic Movies, also known as TCM, and the Criterion Collection have released a new streaming service called FilmStruck, which will offer a huge collection of “art house, indie, foreign, and cult films.”

The service starts at $6.99 a month for a  FilmStruck subscription that will give you access to the Turner Classic Movies collection. Want to add the Criterion Collection that will cost you $10.99 a month. Or you can pay a once a year $99 payment to get the Filmstruck & The Criterion Channel collections a $30 savings.

Turner Classic Movies and the Criterion Collection seem to be betting that people will be willing to ditch Netflix as their movie collection shrinks in favor of their movie-focused service. The question is will people pay $6.99 for classic movies.

Part of this offer is the end of Criterion Collection deal with Hulu. Later this month all of the Criterion movie collection will leave Hulu.

They will offer a free 14-day free trial to allow users to try out the service and see if it is a good fit for them.
