TuneIn Premium Expands Partnerships With CNN & Bloomberg Media

CNN and Bloomberg Media have joined TuneIn Premium’s line up of commercial-free news. The audio streaming service has expanded existing partnerships with both news networks to provide top-rated news programming in a one-of-a-kind commercial-free format that replaces ads with short-form news stories and clips. CNN is now available to stream, with Bloomberg Media being added later this summer.

“TuneIn first launched a commercial-free news listening experience 18 months ago, and we now see two times the rate of engagement on our commercial-free news stations versus ad-supported stations,” said Kevin Straley, Chief Content Officer, TuneIn. “The data shows us consumers enjoy this seamless experience that is highly retentive, and we are thrilled to add CNN and Bloomberg Media to this coveted news offering. As listening online grows year-over-year and we continue our mission to reinvent radio for a connected world, we are pleased to deliver this unique experience to listeners however and wherever they consume their news.”

TuneIn has seen a 47% growth year over year and now has 75 million active monthly users throughout 197 countries. Along with the popular ad-free listening experience TuneIn Premium delivers, there’s also a free version with access to live sports, music, news, podcasts, and internet radio from around the world. TuneIn is also compatible with hands-free voice assistants including Siri, Alexa, Google Assistant, Samsung Bixby and Cortana.

In addition to Bloomberg Media and CNN, TuneIn Premium also broadcasts content from CNBC, FOX News Talk and MSNBC.
