Tubi TV The FREE Netflix Like Services Raises $20 Million To Expand

With more than 50,000 television and movie titles, and users are now in the “many millions,” Tubi TV is the largest free streaming services in the United States. With content deals with some of the largest movie studios like Lionsgate, MGM, Paramount Pictures and Starz and over 200 other content partners there is a lot to watch on Tubi TV.

Now it seems Tubi TV wants to let the world know about their free streaming service and to do that they have raised $20 million. According to Tubi TV’s founder and chief executive officer Tubi TV will funnel the new funds into marketing and especially TV advertising—which it has done almost none of so far. Tubi TV also plans to invest in its “secret sauce” in-house TV analytics platform, which Mr. Massoudi says “helps us dig into what people want, and when and where they want it.”

“What we’re offering is basically identical to the traditional TV commercial experience and reaching that demographic that’s watching less and less traditional TV,” said Mr. Massoudi.

Tubi TV also took a shot at all the new paid streaming services on the market today. “I think the market is delusional if they think consumers are willing to pay and subscribe to all these apps,” he said. “In the next year or so these apps are going to disappear, or they’ll see there’s no clear path to significant scale.”

Tubi TV is available on Android, Chromecast, iOS, Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, Xbox, and select smart TVs.
