Tubi is Adding Every Episode of BBC’s Classic Doctor Who for Free

Classic Doctor Who on Tubi

The Tardis has landed on Tubi. Viewers in the U.S. and Canada can now watch every episode of Classic Doctor Who and Classic Doctor Who: The Animated Lost Stories on the free ad-supported service.

If you plan to watch Classic Doctor Who in its entirety, be prepared to put in a lot of time. Doctor Who is the longest running action-adventure series in the world. Classic Doctor Who aired from 1963 to 1989 and has over 600 episodes. Tubi created a “New to Who” collection to ease in new ‘Whovians’ — a term coined by the sci-fi show’s legion of fans.

Creators revamped the series in 2006 and introduced the ninth doctor, played by Christopher Eccleston, followed by David Tennant as the tenth doctor in 2006, and Matt Smith as the eleventh doctor in 2010. Peter Capaldi and Jodie Whittaker starred as the twelfth and thirteenth doctors, respectively. Ncuti Gatwa, of Netflix’s Sex Education fame, will star as the fourteenth doctor in the newest season.

The revived series has also featured actors like Karen Gillain (Guardians of the Galaxy), David Morrissey (The Walking Dead), James Corden (former host of The Late, Late Show), and Olivia Coleman (The Crown.) Multiple actors from Classic Doctor Who have also made special appearances in the rebooted show.

Doctor Who takes viewers on adventures through time and space with the Doctor, an extraterrestrial being known as a Time Lord, and their companions. The Doctor and his friends travel by way of the Tardis, a blue British police box, defeating villains bent on destroying the universe and helping people in need.

You can watch the newer seasons with a subscription to Max or on Pluto TV on November 23 to celebrate Doctor Who Day.
