Tubi Expands NBA G League Coverage with Free Live Playoff Games & “Up Next” Tournament

Tubi, the free ad-supported streaming service owned by Fox Corp., is deepening its commitment to basketball fans by expanding its coverage of the NBA G League this season. In addition to streaming over 80 regular season games, Tubi will now broadcast four playoff games and the league’s exciting “Up Next” all-star weekend, according to a report from the Sports Business Journal.

Enhanced Coverage:

Building on its successful inaugural season of G League coverage, Tubi will continue to offer “NBA G League TV,” an exclusive pop-up channel airing three days a week. The channel features a Thursday preview show with highlights, replays, and documentaries, along with studio shows like “Certified G’s,” “G League Takeover,” and “The Weekly G.” Live game action continues with evening double- and triple-headers on Fridays and Saturdays.

Playoff Action and “Up Next” Excitement:

This season, Tubi’s coverage expands to include first-round and conference semifinal playoff matchups, bringing viewers closer to the G League’s championship chase. Furthermore, Tubi will exclusively stream the “Up Next” weekend on February 15th and 16th. This tournament-style event, similar to the NBA All-Star Game, will showcase the league’s rising stars in a dunk contest, skills challenge, and other exciting competitions.

Reaching a Wider Audience:

Tubi’s free platform provides an accessible way for fans to engage with the NBA G League and follow the journeys of future NBA stars. This expanded coverage reinforces Tubi’s commitment to delivering diverse sports content to its growing audience.

Tip-Off:

The action begins this Friday night with a matchup between the Wisconsin Herd and Iowa Wolves, followed by the Salt Lake City Stars vs. the South Bay Lakers on Saturday, potentially featuring Bronny James.
