Tubi Adds 21 Films From Kickstarter Partnership to Its Free Streaming Lineup

Today, Tubi is adding a slate of 21 films to its free streaming lineup. All of the titles were funded with Kickstarter and handpicked for the FilmStream Collective, an initiative launched by Kickstarter and Tubi in June 2025 to bring independent films to the free streaming service with a curated collection of titles.

The partnership is meant to provide resources to bring independent projects to a larger audience by addressing two of the biggest hurdles for filmmakers – funding and distribution. Projects start with Kickstarter’s community-powered funding model before the finished product comes to Tubi. The two companies are offering financial backing, creative freedom, and guaranteed distribution.

Here’s more about a few of the new titles:

“We’re excited to bring Kickstarter creatives and the communities who support them to our audience of nearly 100 million viewers,” said Anjali Sud, CEO at Tubi when the partnership was first announced. “Tubi is becoming the home for the next generation of Hollywood talent. Whether we’re bringing crowdfunded films onto the platform, turning a Wattpad novel into a movie or putting the power to green-light in the hands of the fans – we are expanding the pathways for creators to grow their audience and adding greater diversity and differentiation to our content offering.”
