Trump Media Launches a Free Streaming Service Called Truth+ on Roku, Targeting “Non-Woke” Audiences

White House

Trump Media and Technology Group Corp. (Nasdaq: DJT), the company behind Truth Social, Truth+, and the emerging Truth.Fi FinTech brand, unveiled its latest venture on March 24, 2025: the Truth+ streaming app is now available on Roku TVs. Announced last week, the app’s debut on Roku TVs and Roku players brings a self-styled “family-friendly” alternative to millions of American households, promising a mix of live TV and on-demand content tailored for viewers seeking a counterpoint to what TMTG calls “woke entertainment corporations and biased news channels.” With plans to expand further, this launch marks a bold step in the company’s mission to reshape media consumption.

Truth+ offers a lineup of news broadcasts, entertainment, faith-based shows, weather updates, documentaries, and children’s programming—content TMTG frames as a patriotic pushback against mainstream offerings. Initially, the Roku app provides access to live TV channels, with Video on Demand (VOD) slated to roll out soon. Already live on iOS, Android, Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, and the web, Truth+ touts features like live TV rewind with visual thumbnails, seven-day catch-up TV, network DVR, and a Spanish-language interface. Roku users can download the app and log in via a QR code scan or passcode, with newbies able to create a Truth Social account during signup—a nod to TMTG’s integrated ecosystem.

The app is full of free channels like Newsmax2, Weather Nation, AWE, RSBN, and more. “We’re bringing Truth+ to Roku and planning to release more TV apps soon,” said Devin Nunes, TMTG’s CEO and Chairman. “Truth+ is the singular option for non-woke TV and movies, as well as a great alternative to discredited legacy news channels that have squandered the trust of the American people.” The platform’s backbone is a custom-built, multi-site Content Delivery Network (CDN), leveraging TMTG’s own servers and software to deliver what it claims is “ultra-fast” streaming—designed to be “uncancellable by Big Tech,” a swipe at Silicon Valley’s perceived grip on digital media.

The Roku launch follows Truth+’s rollout across mobile and smart TV platforms since late 2024, with Samsung and LG apps next in line. TMTG says it’s still stress-testing the tech, gathering user feedback to refine the service before declaring the rollout complete—a process that could stretch into mid-2025, per industry watchers.
