True Royalty TV Is Now Available on Amazon Prime Video Channels

There’s a new way to get your fix of all things royal family-related. True Royalty TV is rolling out on Amazon Prime Video Channels in the U.S., adding the service as its newest way to stream content about royals from around the globe. True Royalty TV is $5.99 a month with a 7-day trial available and is home to 450 royal shows, including Harry & Meghan: The Price of Freedom.

True Royalty is also currently available on Roku, Apple TV, and Google Play, but adding Amazon Prime Video will be a game-changer for the streamer which CEO Gregor Angus notes is trying to add more than 1 million subscribers within the next 3-4 years. Right now, True Royalty averages between 2,000 and 6,000 users a month, which is nowhere near enough to reach that lofty goal. But Angus predicts not that Amazon Prime is included in the streamer’s distribution arsenal, True Royalty could start seeing 15,000 new subscribers a month.

True Royalty is well-positioned to capitalize on the recent surge in interest in the Royal Family, fueled by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit and recent tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey. The streaming service has a full lineup of original documentaries including Kate: A Young Queen In Waiting, which details Kate Middleton’s efforts during the Covid-19 pandemic, and the original documentary Elizabeth at 95: The Invincible Queen in honor of the Queen’s recent milestone birthday.
