As of today, listeners who are subscribed to the TIDAL HiFi tier have new access to a growing library of music available in Dolby Atmos from Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group. This library includes songs from top artists like Ariana Grande, The Weeknd and more with plans to expand to more artist-owners like JAY-Z into the catalog in 2020.

“TIDAL members have come to expect the highest quality listening experience from our platform, and it is a priority for us to stay at the forefront of innovation,” said Lior Tibon, Chief Operating Officer, TIDAL. “Dolby Atmos will give music fans the ability to enjoy the best possible audio quality.”

Dolby Atmos delivers high quality sound in a way that’s different from traditional streaming quality. It brings extra clarity, detail and dimension to your mobile listening and enhances all the nuances and subtleties that otherwise are lost in a recording.

“Dolby Atmos is redefining how music is created, allowing artists and fans to experience it like never before,” said John Couling, Senior Vice President, Commercial Partnerships, Dolby Laboratories. “Together with TIDAL, we are expanding the reach of Dolby Atmos Music by enabling a more immersive way for people around the world to enjoy their favorite songs and albums.”

To listen to Dolby Atoms Music on TIDAL, the streaming service will automatically set it to default on tracks where a Dolby Atmos mix is available. You’ll know you’re listening to it when you see the “Dolby logo” badge and “Dolby Atmos” identifier that will show up once the song is selected. You can also find a full list of tracks available in Dolby Atmos by clicking on the category under the Explore tab in the TIDAL app’s homepage.
