Thursday Night NFL Football Will Stream For Free Once Again This Year

The imaginary stadium is modelled and rendered.Today Amazon announced they have renewed their deal to stream Thursday Night NFL Football. As part of this deal NFL Thursday Night Football will stream for free on Twitch. If you are an Amazon Prime member you will be able to watch the games on the Amazon’s Prime Video app.

The downside here is Amazon has recently pulled their Twitch app from Roku players. (Roku users who already had the Twich app installed will still have access to the offical Twitch channel.) The good news is there are several unofficial Twitch apps both for free and paid through the Roku Channel Store. So Roku owners should still be able to watch NFL Thursday Night Football for free. Apple TV owner also do not have an official Twitch app. Yet there are several unofficial apps that you can load onto your Apple TV. Keep an eye out as more unofficial Twitch apps will be rolling out in the months to come.

This all comes as Amazon also announced that for the first time in over 4 years Amazon is raising the cost of Amazon Prime’s yearly membership from $99 to $119. The price hike will take effect on June 16th 2018. Prime members will see their price go up on their next renewal after June 16th 2018.

Asked during the call why Amazon was raising rates now, Olsavsky responded, “It’s really nothing more than looking at the state of the program… and the benefit it provides.” He added, “There’s all kinds of new features we’ve added to the program. It’s much different than it was in 2014.”
