The Weather Channel’s Local Now Forecasts Are Coming to Cheddar’s Free Streaming Service

Today it was announced that Cheddar and The Weather Channel have teamed up to bring The Weather Channel’s Local Now forecasts to Cheddar. This means soon you will be able to get your Weather Channel’s Local Now updates as part of Cheddar’s free news services. Cheddar will also continue to offer its content to The Weather Channel’s Local Now streaming service as apart of this deal.

“The big national weather stories are of great importance and interest to our audience, and The Weather Channel has amazing coverage and visualizations, where they dive deep, literally, into the pertinent weather event to present a realistic viewpoint. That’s compelling content,” said Jon Steinberg, Founder and CEO of Cheddar. “As Cheddar has scaled, launching Cheddar News last year, and our new morning show Wake Up With Cheddar a couple weeks ago, it’s great to be able to turn to our friends at The Weather Channel to expand our partnership.”

“As one of the most trusted and loved TV news brands in America, it’s important for The Weather Channel to continue to super-serve our audience by finding new ways to deliver weather, news and information everywhere viewers consume content. Local Now’s expanded partnership with Cheddar is a great example of our commitment to the audience and a great way to extend our reach and impact,” said Tom O’Brien, President of The Weather Channel television network and Local Now.

Cheddar is available online for free on The Roku Channel, Pluto TV, Xumo, HayStack TV, TuneIn, iHeart Radio, Twitch, Facebook, Twitter, and more. You can also watch a premium version many popular live TV including Sling TV, Hulu, PlayStation Vue, Philo, and more.

Update: We updated the story to clarify that the weather updates will be coming from The Weather Channel’s Local Now service.
