The Weather Channel is Launching a Streaming Services For Spanish Speakers

Today The Weather Channel announced plans to launch a live TV streaming services for Spanish speakers.  The Weather Channel en Español will launch in early 2020 as a subscription streaming service with Spanish-speaking weather reporters and show hosts throughout the day on weekdays and weekend.

“The Hispanic marketplace is indexing extremely well with streaming services and is severely underserved,” said Byron Allen, founder/chairman/CEO of Entertainment Studios. Our launch of The Weather Channel en Español is historic, and is a recognition of the continued and significant growth of the U.S. Hispanic population and the constant need to keep the entire public informed and safe as multi-billion dollar weather disasters are on the rise — especially in underserved communities where Spanish is spoken as both the primary and secondary language in millions of households throughout America.”

Many have hoped for a stand-alone streaming version of the current Weather Channel feed. Slowly the new Weather Channel owners have become more cord cutting friendly, but we are still far from having The Weather Channel on most live TV streaming services. You can find all the options to stream The Weather Channel without cable TV HERE.
