Do you love great programs without having to pay for them? Right now, the Smithsonian Channel has over 2,000 videos including full episodes on YouTube. All 100% free and all ready for you to enjoy.

These programs include everything from programming on wild life to historical programming on Egypt and World War II to full episodes about cruise ships.

Here is how The Smithsonian describes their YouTube Channel:

Smithsonian Channel™ is where curiosity lives, inspiration strikes and wonders never cease. This is the place for awe-inspiring stories, powerful documentaries and amazing entertainment. As a joint venture, Smithsonian Channel combines the storytelling prowess of Showtime Networks with the unmatched resources and rich traditions of the Smithsonian Institution. We create award-winning programming that shines new light on popular genres such as: air and space, history, science, nature, and pop culture.

This is Smithsonian Channel. It’s brighter here™.

The Smithsonian Channel is not alone as a growing number of TV networks are putting full episodes on YouTube. Nat Geo has also posted some full-length content mixed in with their clips. Other networks like TCL and Discovery Channel have focused more on short clips but some run as long as 10 minutes.

If you have not looked at YouTube as a cord cutting option, maybe it is time to give it a second look.
