The Roku Channel Launches in the UK

Roku Home Screen

Roku announced that it’s launching The Roku Channel in the UK today, adding that in addition to Roku users, NOW TV and Sky Q users also have access to the channel’s lineup of free content.

According to the company, The Roku Channel offers some 10,000-plus hours of movies, TV episodes, and documentaries. In a blog post, Roku called out movies like Les Miserable, The Wicker Man, and The Invisible Woman. Meanwhile, shows like Skins and Britain’s Best Bakery are also on offer. There’s also a Kids & Family section for more family-friendly fair, including shows like Baby Einstein Classics and Teletubbies.

The Roku Channel is available starting today in the UK and the company says you can access the channel via a Roku device, NOW TV device, or Sky Q box. In addition, those with a Roku TV, like the Hisense models that were launched in the UK late last year, can also access the free content.
