The Roku Channel Launches a Holiday Hub

The Roku Channel is getting into the holiday spirit with new content and a hub where you’ll find all the seasonal entertainment the free streaming service has to offer. Along with shows and movies, the holiday experience will include holiday music and New Years’ celebrations.

Whether it’s a feel-good original film, like ‘Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas,’ music for every kind of celebration, or reliving some of the best streaming moments of 2021 with Roku Recommends, The Roku Channel is a one-stop destination for great entertainment for millions of users.”

Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas

The all-new Roku Original, “Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas,” makes its debut on The Roku Channel today, December 1. The special about love, loss, and connection during the most wonderful time of the year includes a new original song from Tori Kelly. Right now, The Roku Channel users can watch “Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas” as well as episodes of “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist.” Musical clips from the film will be available to stream within Music on The Roku Channel later this month.

Holiday Music & More on The Roku Channel

Starting today, The Roku Channel is adding to its music channels. Users can now enjoy a 24 hour Yule Log channel for free. Later this month, The Roku Channel will debut a dedicated music experience called Music on The Roku Channel with music from iHeartRadio, Qwest Jazz, Stingray and Vevo with holiday music across a wide range of genres.

New Year’s Eve on Roku 

For the first time ever, The Roku Channel users can celebrate New Year’s Eve directly from their Roku home screen. On December 27, the Roku home screen will be updated with a new theme and screensaver, a countdown to 2022 clock, easy access to New Years Eve. content, and special offers for users including giveaways, trivia, deals on premium subscriptions, and more.

‘Roku Recommends’ New Year Special

Adding to the New Year’s Eve experience on Roku, “Roku Recommends” will close out 2021 with its first special. Hosts Maria Menounos and Andrew “Hawk” Hawkins will present the top 10 shows of the year as voted by Roku streamers and share a sneak peek at what’s coming in 2022. “The Year in Streaming” will be available on The Roku Channel and Featured Free starting December 27.
