The Price of Frndly TV is Going Up, But There’s a Way to Still Get it For Just $5.83 a Month

Streaming service Frndly TV earlier this month announced that it would raise the monthly rate of its plans by $1 a month to $7.99 a month for the basic plan, $9.99 a month for the classic, and $11.99 a month for the premium plan. The good news is if you act now, you can lock in that basic package for just $5.83 a month if you prepay for a year upfront.

You do need to hurry, though, as this deal to help avoid the price hike will end on October 5, 2023.

This comes as Frndly announced it will be adding a new channel next month called MeTV+. MeTV+ launched back in 2021 as a sister channel to MeTV. Originally, MeTV+ launched in just two markets, Chicago and Phoenix, but now has expanded to 30 markets around the U.S. Frndly TV is the first streaming service to offer the channel.

This is MeTV’s second attempt to launch a second over-the-air TV channel or OTA. The first attempt, MeTV Too, shut down back in 2013. The channel offers a huge collection of classic shows like T.J. Hooker, Mod Squad, Mission: Impossible, Space 1999, The Andy Griffith Show, and more. You can find the full schedule on MeTV’s website HERE.

Frndly is just one of a myriad of streaming services to raise their prices over the last several months, from YouTube TV to Hulu + Live TV, with on-demand services like Disney+ and Peacock also jacking up prices with the cost of content rising.
