ESPN Unlimited Launches Today: Everything to Know About Watching with Roku, Fire TV & More

Today marks the official launch of ESPN’s new streaming service. Here’s what you need to know.

ESPN Unlimited Plan At-A-Glance

Pricing: The new ESPN Unlimited plan costs $29.99 per month

Access via Other Services: ESPN has deals with Spectrum, Verizon, DIRECTV, Hulu, and Fubo to give users access to the app using their login credentials

Simultaneous Streams: Stream live, rewind, or replay on up to 3 devices at once

What’s Included in the New Unlimited Plan?

The Unlimited plan gives users access to all of ESPN’s linear networks including ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SECN, ACCN, ESPNEWS, ESPN Deportes – in addition to ESPN on ABC, ESPN+, ESPN3, SECN+, and ACCNX.

Content will include 47,000 live events each year, on-demand replays, studio shows, original programming, and more. That coverage includes everything from the NFL and MLB to Little League World Series baseball.

Users will also be able to watch leading studio shows include the iconic SportsCenter, Get Up, First Take, NFL Live, The Pat McAfee Show, Pardon the Interruption, College GameDay, and others, along with on-demand content including 30 for 30 films, ESPN Originals, and more.

ESPN Unlimited vs ESPN Select

The ESPN Unlimited plan, priced at $29.99/month or $299.99/year, provides access to the full suite of ESPN’s offerings. 

The ESPN Select plan is available for $11.99/month or $119.99/year. ESPN Select is the subscription plan that will consist entirely of ESPN+ content. Existing ESPN+ subscribers will automatically transition to the Select plan and will continue to have access to the ESPN+ service.

Bundling with Other Services

At launch, Disney will be offering a special bundle deal for Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN for $29.99 for the first 12 months. After that period, the bundle will cost $35.99 per month with ads or $49.99 per month without ads.

Disney will also be teaming up with Fox for a bundle deal, offering ESPN and Fox One for $39.99, beginning October 2.

What New Features Will Subscribers Get?

ESPN has shared details about a few new features ahead of the launch.

“SportsCenter for You” will offer personalized videos based on your interests, with AI-generated commentary from SportsCenter anchors, including Hannah Storm and Gary Striewski.

“StreamCenter”  is a feature that will sync your ESPN app to your TV so you can see real time stats for the event you’re watching.

“Verts” are vertical videos, described as “Tik-Tok-like,” that will feature game highlights and viral clips.

Will There Be an All New App?

No, the ESPN app will be revamped with new content and features. There will not be a new app to download.
