The IPTV Services Vader Shuts Down

Latin woman looking disappointed at her laptopscreen, sitting behind her desk at the office.Recently, Vader, an IPTV service that offered live access to 1,000+ TV channels for just $15 a month announced that they are shutting down. In an email sent to customers, Vader said “We have no choice but to close down Vader. We can’t reveal much publically, but by now some of you should know through the other means what happened,” the notice begins.

We are not sure why this is happening but TorrentFreak says they have received unconfirmed reports that Vader is currently the subject of an anti-piracy investigation. This comes after a recent effort by content owners to crack down on so-called IPTV services. It seems in 2019 as people move away from Kodi to IPTV services for their cheap TV the attention of the industry has also started to move over to IPTV providers.

The Vader team did let subscribers know they plan to protect their data.“We’re going to make sure, no Email, IP, account + reseller name goes to the wrong hands. Everything will be wiped clean and that’s all.”
