The FTC is Examining The Privacy Practices of AT&T, Comcast, Google Fiber, Verizon, & More

Today the Federal Trade Commission announced plans to investigate the privacy practices of seven internet providers including AT&T, Comcast, and Google. The FTC has given them 45 days to hand over documents about how they protect your privacy.

“The orders seek information about the companies’ privacy policies, procedures, and practices. The orders were sent to: AT&T Inc., AT&T Mobility LLC, Comcast Cable Communications doing business as Xfinity, Google Fiber Inc., T-Mobile US Inc., Verizon Communications Inc., and Cellco Partnership doing business as Verizon Wireless.” The FTC said in a statement on their site.
