The Free Streaming Service, Tubi, Is Testing a New App with an Updated Player

Tubi is a great free, ad-supported streaming service that offers a huge collection of movies and TV shows. Now Cord Cutters News has confirmed that Tubi is testing out an updated user interface for its apps with testing happening on the Fire TV.

According to reports, the new app comes with an updated user interface that is far closer to the Tubi app for mobile devices. You will also find the new version of the user interface that a few Fire TV owners are testing has an improved player for a better user experience.

Cord Cutters News reached out to Tubi for comment about the new app, but Tubi declined to comment.

This newly updated app comes as competition in the world of free, ad-supported streaming services has increased. With new services like The Roku Channel and IMDb TV recently launching and Viacom buying Pluto TV, the competition to be your free streaming service has never been more intense. It will be interesting to see what Tubi does with their new app on streaming players to help them stand out.
