The First Free Streaming Channel Dedicated to Baking Will Launch in Early 2024

The Bold Baking Network

Baking enthusiast Gemma Stafford is bringing her passion for culinary delights to free streaming services early next year by launching the first ad-supported baking network, The Bold Baking Network.

The new channel will have a daily 24-hour lineup of home-cooked treats, including new shows and original programming from Taste Buds Entertainment, which produces Stafford’s videos. She will bring her own recipes from her Bigger Bolder Baking channels on YouTube, which has amassed a following of 8 million fans worldwide since it launched a decade ago.

Stafford will oversee the creation of the Bold Baking Network, featuring more than 800 unique sweet and savory recipes and baking how-to shows.

Taste Buds Entertainment CEO Kevin Kurtz said there is an “enormous opportunity” for the Bold Baking Network. According to Kurtz, there are hundreds of millions of “avid home bakers” worldwide, yet no cable TV, streaming, or free ad-supported platform that caters exclusively to bakers. A Mintel Research Study showed that 209 million Americans bake regularly, and more than 50% consider themselves Avid Bakers who are in the kitchen weekly, if not daily.

The new network will feature shows that range from baking instructions for beginners to master classes for experienced bakers hosted by Stafford and a collection of “all-star” bakers. Bold Baking Network will also host a variety of out-of-the-kitchen shows with a focus on travel, product reviews, and live events.

“We’ve conceived the Bold Baking Network to be much more than a channel – it’s the culmination of a decade-long journey I’ve been on to inspire bakers of all ages,” said Stafford, who studied at the acclaimed Ballymaloe Cooking School with renown chef Darina Allen. “Along with an incredible array of diverse baking talent from around the world, we want to reach out to every baker everywhere and offer a place to learn, share, and be entertained every day.”

The Bold Baking Network will launch in the first quarter of 2024. Visit the Bigger Bolder Baking and check out Stafford’s collection of more than 1,400 free recipes, such as Hanukkah jelly donuts or learn how to make a festive gingerbread cookie garland.
