Been hoping that your area will get all the new features that ATSC 3.0 NextGen TV has to offer? 4K TV, improved sound, better weather alerts, and a ton of other features are coming with the NexxtGen TV ATSC 3.0 free over-the-air TV. The problem has been the rollout is slower than many have wanted it to be.

Now the FCC is getting involved to help speed up the rollout of free NextGen ATSC 3.0 OTA TV. To do this, FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel and two other commissioners have said they plan to launch a task force that would help broadcasts speed up ATSC 3.0 rollout.

The main issue here is the rule that says broadcasts have to keep broadcasting in the current 1.0 standard for five years after they turn on 3.0. This is done to make sure current users of free OTA TV can still access their programming. Giving them time to upgrade or buy an ATSC 3.0 tuner.

The hope is the FCC will help broadcasters work out deals to keep the current 1.0 standard going as they roll out 3.0.

The hope is that this help from the FCC will help broadcasters work together to share spectrum as they push to get NextGen ATSC 3.0 broadcast TV out to all markets.
