The Super Bowl may be over but the NFL content machine never ends. Apple TV+ has announced that the streaming platform has ordered The Dynasty, a new docuseries about the New England Patriots, produced by Imagine Documentaries, in association with NFL Films.

The 10-part docuseries is based on the Jeff Benedict book of the same name and will give viewers unprecedented access into the Patriots organization, where Benedict spent 2 years chronicling the team’s 20 years of dominance. Emmy-nominated filmmaker Matthew Hamachek will direct the series, which will feature never-before-seen footage, and interviews with Patriots players, coaches, and executives of past and present. They will be joined by league officials, and rivals will be part of the docuseries.

The series will be executive produced by Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Sara Bernstein, Justin Wilkes, and Jenna Millman with Hamchek, Benedict, and Miranda Johnson serving as the co-executive producer. It comes on the heels of Tom Brady’s Man in the Arena documentary, which chronicled all of the quarterback’s Super Bowl appearances with the Patriots and Buccaneers.

For Apple TV+, The Dynasty is another move into the world of sports after announcing a 4-part docuseries about Lakers PG Magic Johnson. The streamer has a multi-year first-look deal with sports storytelling company Meadowlark Media, which will feature a project chronicling the Penn State scandal. The platform has also been rumored to be a favorite to land NFL Sunday Ticket, which the league views as a streaming product.
