The Average Cord Cutter Subscribes to 3.2 Cord Cutting Streaming Services

One of the most popular attacks on cord cutting is the idea that if you subscribe to a lot of streaming services you will pay more than cable TV. Now a new yet to be released study from ZypMedia shows that the average cord cutter subscribes to 3.2 streaming services. This study, which looked at more than 2,000 Americans, was conducted in March 2019.

These results line up with an internal study Cord Cutters News conducted that found over 90% of our readers subscribe to 4 or fewer services.

For months now cable executives have pushed the idea that cord cutting can cost more than cable TV. When you subscribe to multiple services it can quickly add up. Yet when you subscribe to 4 or fewer services, you can easily stream all you want and save money.

The other issue with this argument is that most cable subscribers also subscribe to a streaming service. Once again this shows how cable TV no longer gives cable subscribers everything they want.
