If you’re in the market to go big on a new television set, TCL’s new Smart S5 TV is available for preorder for $5,000. The new model boasts features like a 120Hz native panel refresh rate, high brightness LED backlight, HDR ULTRA with Dolby Vision IQ and hands-free voice control.

The new model joins TCL’s lineup of 98-inch screens — the QLED TV from the XL collection and the Mini-LED QLED from the Q Class. TCL said the lineup can satisfy virtually any cinephile or sports enthusiast.

TCL is no stranger to larger affordable television sets. The XL collection’s S and Q Class sets offer a diverse range of models at varying price points. Instead of pigeonholing customers into one series or another based on specs or budget, TCL’s categorization of its TVs aims to let shoppers find the right set based on price and quality.

TCL has been a force in the market with its low-cost televisions — it was second only behind Samsung in the global television set market with 11.7 percent sales volume. The company’s market share also increased 11.5 percent in 2021.

“Watching a game on a TCL 98” TV is not like stepping to a slightly larger screen size; it is a completely different experience,” Chris Hamdorf, senior vice president of TCL, said in a statement.

TCL is also offering $200 off an NFL Sunday Ticket subscription from YouTube with the purchase of one of the three TVs before September 19. The company also launched a new streaming service, TCLtv Plus on Wednesday that includes over 200 channels, as well as 1,500 movies and TV shows.
