Tablo is Rolling Out a New Roku Channel Update

Today Tablo announced a new Roku Channel update with bug fixes, performance improvements, and more.

In a statement on their blog, Tablo said “It’s been a long time, but we’ve been very excited to get back to work on Tablo’s ROKU channel. A brand new update should be making its way to your ROKU devices right now.”

Release Notes for Tablo ROKU Channel Update 2.2.8

The new video player software is likely referring to the new Roku OS 8 that adds a lot more power to the Roku OS. This should help bring a better streaming experience to your Tablo DVR. It is also great to see Tabo offering a new option to “Watch Next” without having to back out to the menu as you watch your DVRed shows.

Your Roku should auto-update to the new Tablo Roku Channel Update 2.2.8 sometime today. If you want to force it to update now just go into your settings and select “System Update”. The system update will also auto update all of your Roku Channels to the latest version.
