Tablo Launches HDMI Connected Tablo OTA DVR

Nuvyyo, the makers of the Tablo OTA DVR, announced today the launch of the Tablo DUAL HDMI. The new DVR connects directly to TVs and comes with its own remote, giving cord cutters a more traditional DVR that combines the Tablo interface with an HDMI set top box.

With the Tablo DUAL HDMI, you can record live, local TV from your antenna. The device is compatible with any TV with an HDMI port and supports external USB hard drives from 1TB to 8TB, for up to 1000 hours of HDTV recording storage.

“We’re proud that Tablo has become a trusted brand among cord cutters. With demand for cable TV alternatives among all consumer demographics growing dramatically, the time was right to expand our reach into underserved portions of the market,” said Grant Hall, CEO of Nuvyyo. “That’s why we’re bringing the beautiful interface and advanced DVR features that Tablo customers expect to a more traditional set-top-box solution with the Tablo DUAL HDMI.”

The Tablo DUAL HDMI is less reliant on the internet, making it a good option for those who don’t have the most reliable internet connection and Tablo points out that it’s also a good option for RV travelers. You’ll need internet access to set up the DVR, but you can watch live and recorded programming on your primary television without internet access for up to two weeks.

What sets this DVR apart from other set top box DVRs? The Tablo app. With the Tablo app on streaming devices and Smart TVs, you can stream your live and recorded antenna TV on up to two secondary TVs in your home without additional hardware.

Tablo DUAL HDMI is available exclusively at TabloTV.com for $149.99.
