Tablo is Introducing a New DVR for ATSC 3.0

During CES this week, Tablo announced a new product in its OTA DVR lineup – the Tablo ATSC 3.0 QUAD HDMI OTA DVR.

While ATSC 3.0 or NextGen TV is still rolling out, Tablo is launching the new device to work with both ATSC 1.0 and 3.0, helping cordcutters with the transition to the new standard.

“With this new Tablo, you won’t have to upgrade to a television with an ATSC 3.0 tuner to watch and record unencrypted NextGen TV Over-the-Air TV broadcasts. The Tablo ATSC 3.0 QUAD HDMI connects directly to any modern TV via HDMI and provides the intuitive DVR interface Tablo OTA DVR owners know and love,” Tablo wrote in a blog post announcing the new hardware.

With the Tablo ATSC 3.0 QUAD HDMI OTA DVR, you’ll get

However, what you won’t get is the ability to stream content at home or away from home. You’ll be limited to watching on a single TV connected to your device. Tablo’s Automatic Commercial Skip also won’t work on ATSC 3.0 recordings with the new DVR.

Tablo ATSC 3.0 QUAD HDMI OTA DVR is available for pre-order now at TabloTV.com for $299.99 with an anticipated ship date of spring 2022.
