T-Mobile Successfully Tested 4.3Gbps Speed Wireless Internet The First Millimeter Wave 5G That Can Be Used For Home Internet

Today, T-Mobile successfully tested 4.3Gbps Speeds wireless with 5G standalone millimeter wave tests. This is the first time that millimeter wave 5G was successfully tested for 5G internet with crazy fast speeds.

According to T-Mobile, this new 5G will be best used to provide high-speed internet in crowded areas like stadiums and potentially used for fixed wireless services like its 5G Home Internet service.

“We’ve been industry leaders – rolling out the first, largest and fastest 5G standalone network across the country – and now we’re continuing to push the boundaries of wireless technology,” said Ulf Ewaldsson, President of Technology at T-Mobile. “We’ve always said we’ll use millimeter wave where it makes sense, and this test allows us to see how the spectrum can be put to use in different situations like crowded venues or to power things like fixed-wireless access when combined with 5G standalone.”

The best selling point fo this new 5G mmWave will be its ability to handle massive capacity, removing slowdowns in crowded areas like stadiums and when 5G Home Internet is being used. The downside to it is that the mmWave performs poorly going through obstacles. This may not be perfect for all areas, but in many situations, this can dramatically improve T-Mobile’s network.
