We’re gonna fix the pain points and bring real choice to consumers across the country,” said John Legere, president and CEO of T-Mobile. “It only makes sense for the Un-carrier to do to TV what we’re doing to wireless: change it for good! Personally, I can’t wait to start fighting for consumers here!”
To do this T-Mobiel is buying Layer3 TV to help build and deliver TV channels over fiber optic cable to layer3 customers.
Exactly what this service will be is still unknown. So far all we know is T-Mobile plans to launch a “disruptive TV service” in 2018. With this being T-Mobile it is unlike to be a traditional TV service but at this time we still do not know exactly what this service will look like.
