T-Mobile Adds 30+ Channels to TVision Live to Address Distribution Disputes

T-Mobile is adding 33 channels to its TVision live package, the same 33 channels available in its TVision Vibe package, at no additional cost. This is a limited time offer, and seems to be a way for T-Mobile to address disagreements with programmers over where their content landed on the TVision service.

Soon after T-Mobile launched its new TVision Live and Vibe packages last month, NBC, ViacomCBS, and Discovery expressed concerns over content distribution. The programmers said their contracts specified that channels found in the lower priced Vibe package would also be available in the higher priced Live package and vice versa. Channels from each of the programmers instead ended up in only one or the other when the service launched.

In what looks like a short term solution, T-Mobile shared as part of its “Holideals” announcement that current and new TVision Live customers will get an additional 30+ channels from TVision Vibe included.

The Tvision website says that the offer starts today, November 20, and is a limited time offer. No end date is given, likely because the company is still working out the disagreements with NBC, ViacomCBS, and Discovery.
