Stream Andrew Lloyd Webber Musicals for Free on YouTube

Last week, musical theater composer Andrew Lloyd Webber launched a new YouTube channel announcing he will stream a full-length musical every week during the coronavirus pandemic.

“Universal have come up with the idea of a whole series now called “The Shows Must Go On,” which is about musicals going from stage to screen and they’re going to show one of mine every Friday,” Webber said in the announcement.

The shows air every Friday at 7 pm UK time and are available for 48 hours after. The rock musical Jesus Christ Superstar starring Tim Minchin, Mel C. and Chris Moyles is scheduled for this Friday, April 10. You can stream it on “The Shows Must Go On” YouTube channel for free.

The series kicked off last Friday with Donny Osmond in Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Upcoming shows will be announced as they’r4e scheduled, including what Webber calls his “disaster musical” By Jeeves. 

Although the channel is free to watch, viewers are encouraged to donate to charitable funds, including Acting for Others, Broadway Cares and Actors Benevolent Fund.
