Starz is Contacting Past Subscribers Offering a Special $1 for 6 Months Deal

Did you subscribe to Starz in the past but canceled your subscription? You may want to check your email as Starz is sending out special offers to past subscribers.

Multiple Cord Cutters News readers have reached out to say Starz offered them 6 months of services for $1. Sadly this offer is not open to everyone as you need to be a past Starz subscriber to take advantage of this offer.

So what would you get from Starz subscription service?

In April 2016, Starz followed the lead of HBO and Showtime by creating their own standalone streaming service. The Starz app features original content, recent and classic movies, and some hidden gems.

The standalone service combined Starz Play, Encore Play, and MoviePlex. Now, all of the content for those apps can be found in one place, with one subscription.

With the Starz app, you can register up to 4 devices, making it easy to watch shows and movies at home or on your mobile device while traveling. You can stream on up to 4 devices simultaneously.

Compatible Devices

If you’re using the Starz app, you’ll be able to watch on the following devices:

Content and Features

The Starz app is well organized and easy to use. When you login, you can look for content in the featured, series, and movies sections. There, you’ll find originals like Power, Outlander, Magic City, and Boss. You’ll also find the most recent episode of series, new movies, and classics. For Starz original series, the episodes go up on the same day that they air live.

Not sure what to watch? On the schedule section, you’ll see what’s airing on all of the following Starz channels and can tune in by clicking the title. (Update seems to depend on what device you use.)
