Spectrum’s Streaming Service Launches On The Apple TV

This week Spectrum’s long-awaited streaming app has finally launched on the Apple TV. Previously only available on Roku players now you can access Spectrums streaming packages without the need for a cable TV package on the Apple TV.

Back in 2017 Spectrum TV started to quietly allow customers to sign up for a small a la carte package of 10 channels you pick and you get your locals for $21.99 a month. (Plus some fees like broadcast TV.) The package offers your locals including PBS and 25 music channels. From there you can pick 10 additional channels from a long list of channels including AMC, Cartoon Network, Comedy Central, ESPN, FOX News, Hallmark Channel, NFL Network, The Weather Channel, and more.

You can even add premium networks like HBO, Showtime, STARZ, and more for an extra fee. The tough part is at first there was no free trial. Quickly Spectrum offered a 30-day money back deal that let you get your money back if you didn’t like the service but you still had to pay upfront. Now Spectrum is offering a 7-day free trial letting you test out the service before you ever pay.

Now you have to also have Spectrum internet to get this deal but if you do it is not a bad streaming package but the lack of a DVR does hold many back. The good is Spectrum is finally expanding device support to more streaming players.
