Spectrum’s A La Carte Streaming Deal Ends in April

Couple relaxing in living room holding remote control and smilingDo you want A La Carte TV? Well, it looks like you have less than a month to get in on the Spectrum Choice A La Carte TV package. What started out at the end of January 2018 as a quiet effort to push the service on internet only customers has turned into a massive push in recent weeks.

Recently Spectrum TV’s streaming has quietly started to allow customers to sign up for a small core package of channels and you can add 10 channels you pick to the service. The package offers your locals including PBS and 25 music channels. From there you can pick 10 additional channels from a long list of channels including AMC, Cartoon Network, Comedy Central, ESPN, FOX News, Hallmark Channel, NFL Network, The Weather Channel, and more.

Here is what the signup process looks like:

You can even add premium networks like HBO, Showtime, STARZ, and more for an extra fee. There is no box fee as you can stream your content through their Roku channel yet if you want a DVR though you will have to pay to rent a DVR box.

There is one catch though all the ads for this service now say the deal will end April 12th, 2018. So if you want this deal I wouldn’t wait to sign up.

According to the ads, the service costs $21.99 for the first 24 months. (no contract cancel anytime.) Yet there is a $3 broadcast TV fee you will need to pay for the service.

This as far as we can tell is as close as we have ever come to a true a la carte TV package.
